I’m Looking At, Um — Wait For It — Y’all

Apropos of my Heck Of A Guy Review of the Heck Of A Guy Blog are recent finds that reference clichés.
Gawker has compiled a list of clichés that are especially prevalent pollutants in the blogosphere, and commenters have added a batch as well. And, yes, Heck Of A Guy readers may recognize the occasional phrase from this list that has, now and then, found its way here.
That article and list may be viewed at Bad Lingo: Blog-Media Clichés
Less blog-specific but equally intimidating is the Cliche Finder, a site that examines text pasted in its search box for clichés based on the Associated Press Guide to News Writing.
Finally, two sites, Cliche Site and (the other) Cliche Finder feature searchable lists of clichés (in case one is bereft of clichés) and defines those terms.
And, the DrHGuy take on clichés?

“Apropos of nothing” was the way that I intended to start a random comment to your latest entry. I click, I see, you have done used my word, first no less. Was apropos floating in the collective today or what? That is passing strange.
You are hereby on notice that I am reserving catywhompus for future use.
Regardless, the best that I can do now is to mention that I made french fries tonight (real ones from ‘taters, ice water bath, 2 separate fryings and all) but that is not the important thing, ketchup, as I dispensed my condiment — I thought of you ~~~~~ and footnotes.
