Heck Of A Launch Zone
Hot air balloons are relatively frequent, cheer-inducing visitors around here. This one was special, however, because early one Spring morning a few years ago the Heck Of A House front lawn served as its launch site.
A hot air balloon launch, admittedly, falls short of a momentous occasion. Nonetheless, watching a collapsed accumulation of fabric and cables transform into a resplendently colored balloon ready to ascend into the heavens generated an enjoyable break in that morning’s routine, and its memory still triggers a smile and evokes my recall of that year’s particularly luscious Spring.
And that promise of impending Spring is the point of this post.
