Another Homage - This Time To Correction

I’m chagrined upon realizing that the contretemps in the comments re which indefinite article should have preceded “Homage” in the post title, A Homage To Nursing,1 was unnecessary and, in fact, would never have taken place had I not misread my own notes.

On careful review, I now see that the scrawled phrase from my contemporaneous record of the encounter between the Director of Nursing and me was not “A Homage To Nursing” as I had thought and had keyboarded into the title, but “Un Fromage To Nursing,” which I had scribbled at the time as a reminder to myself to supplement the refreshing but somewhat insubstantial orange-flavored beverage I had proffered the Head Nurse (as described in the September 9th post) by sending a tasty wheel of French cheese to her office.

[Note: The above graphic is, of course, only a representation.
The actual cheese did not resemble the one pictured

The Heck of a Guy blog regrets this error.

Footnotes

  1. The title was later changed to “An Homage To Nursing”

Should be “A Fromage Frais To Nursing” - additional correction requested.

I say that Head Nurse, as steamily conjured in the image above, surely met Heck of a Guy, M.D., in the hallway, plunked his irrelevant cheese right on top of his clip board, and demanded instead a flirtatious, stirringly erotic shadow puppet show choreographed to Diana Krall’s “Do It Again.”

We will, of course be waiting here for an encore performance, having found the portraits, though technically extraordinary, a bit staid.

Ben - with French I cannot help since I studied Russian instead. With Russian I cannot help because I’ve forgotten most of what I knew, which was never much. I’m a tad more useful with English, hence I eke out my living teaching that subject, but I’m not infallible ;-).
