Many of the holiday greeting cards I receive feature photos of families or the children, often with a pet or two in the mix so it seemed fitting to compose today’s post from some of the graphics posted in this year’s version of the Heck of a Guy Blog.
To keep the number of photos a standard deviation below overwhelming, I’ve voluntarily restricted myself to posting only one selection from a classification.

The problem with choosing one photo as the best example from Lord of Leisure’s Photo Gallery offerings is choosing one photo as best. Happily, I was - and continue to be - especially impressed with this scene, Greer Springs in the Ozarks; otherwise, I could have spent the entire day obsessing over the selection.
Anjani and Leonard Cohen
I chose This photo because it effectively conveys the connection between Anjani and Leonard Cohen, but it also references the series of posts that began with Anjani Interview and Concert Online Today, which documented, with the generous and knowledgeable help of apolinary polek, Anjani’s Warsaw interviews and concert, including the audio files of the duets performed there by Anjani and Leonard Cohen, Never Got to Love You and Whither Thou Goest.

Sick Bay
Between Prodigal’s long hospitalizations following his car accident that put him in a comatose state for several days and my hip fracture, there were far too many options from which to choose in this class, but this is the one I want to remember.
