The Post-Christmas Letdown
Did you have a good time the past holiday season? Did you party hearty, sing carols, feast on traditional treats, quaff a few slugs of wassail, trim the tree, and watch the Yule log continuous video loop?
It was fun, wasn’t it?
But it’s over now. You’re stuck in February snow and slush with only a vaguely recalled “Ho, Ho, Ho” to sustain you. It’s kinda sad if you think about it. But there’s nothing to be done for it.
Unless you are one of the blest, a recipient of the belated bounty of the benevolent, beatific DrHGuy.
Indeed, Duke of Derm, Lord of Leisure, Hippie With Tiara, Princess of Peds, and the rest are discovering as they read this post that they will soon be, once again, in the midst of holiday revels, inundated with Christmas presents from the frozen North.
Yes, one can look at this from the glass half empty perspective, i.e., that these gifts are almost two months late.
Or, one can look at these presents as signaling a bonus holiday, a little bit of out of season Joyeux Noel made available by DrHGuy at no extra cost - if one can take the glass half full of chocolodka perspective.
You made a list, I checked it twice. Sigh, my name isn’t on it. Musta been naughty this year.
