New Vinyl Releases By Leonard Cohen, Bruce Springsteen, Bob Dylan, Beck/Sonic Youth

Record Store Day Exclusive Vinyls

Exclusive 7″ vinyl records by Leonard Cohen, Bruce Springsteen, and Bob Dylan, a split 7″ vinyl by Beck and Sonic Youth, and offerings from the Decemberists, Wilco, My Morning Jacket, Lucinda Williams, and the always popular Many, Many More will be released in conjunction with  Record Store Day,  a promotion in support of independently owned record stores, on April 18, 2009.

While I haven’t been able to track down information about the content of the Cohen or Dylan records,1  Backstreets, the Springsteen fan site, has listed the tracks on the contribution from The Boss:

A new Springsteen seven-inch is being pressed for Record Store Day, featuring “What Love Can Do” as the A-side and “A Night With the Jersey Devil” as the B-side.

As Backstreets goes on to note, these records will “be available exclusively not from Wal-Mart, not from Amazon, but from indie stores.”

Participating stores can be found with this handy venue locator.

  1. Give me a break – I just found out about Record Store Day 45 minutes ago.  It’s not like anybody notifies me. []
