Adrian du Plessis, business manager for the impossibly talented Allison Crowe, alerts us to an eBay auction of “paintings by athletes, politicians, performers, journalists, and others” to raise funds for kidney research in Canada.
Included in the auction are offerings from Allison Crowe (shown below) and “poet, novelist and musician, Leonard Cohen, looking like the happiest man touring today,1 who’s donated a limited edition print – Parc du Portugal [shown above].”

The web page itself is a masterpiece that features not only the opportunity to help the Kidney Foundation do good works and the chance to pick up a piece of art created by a Canadian icon or icon-in-training but also a dollop of the unique du Plessis prose, including a Donovan allusion and pirate talk.
