“Going Home Tonight” – First Indication Of New Threshold For Allison Crowe?
In anticipation of Spiral, her seventh album/CD, Allison Crowe has made a video of an early version of “Going Home Tonight,” one of the songs anticipated to become a track on that album, available.
An intriguing aspect of this offering is that it is the product of the collaboration between Allison Crowe (singer-songwriter and icon-in-training) and Kayla Schmah (orchestrator, arranger and producer) that may mark a new direction and distinction in Crowe’s music. How these two longtime friends became co-conspirators in this effort is a convoluted tale that seems eerily congruent with the origin and evolution of Spiral itself.
Something significant seems to be happening here.
And, if all goes well, future Heck Of A Guy posts will cover The Making Of Spiral and the consequences of intermingling the talents of Allison Crowe and Kayla Schmah.
More information is available at the Allison Crowe web site.
For now, enjoy the rich sound of “Going Home Tonight.”
