Rockin’ With Lenny
Marie, webmaster of Speaking Cohen, and messalina79 appear to be co-hosting a showcase of performances by Lenny Cohen – the angrier, rock and roll playing counterpart to the crooning Leonard Cohen of recent years – at Today’s Cohen.
Appearing on the Today’s Cohen stage are two recent messalina79 uploads: The Butcher (Toronto 1975) and Diamonds In The Mine (Hanover 1979), both of which are songs that have been absent from concert set lists of the 2008-2009 World Tour and both of which are also performed in styles also absent from shows in the past several years.
