Erik Soberon, who took the photo of Leonard Cohen’s limo featured in Leonard Cohen Sings Save The Last Dance At Last Gent Show While The Limousine Waits In The Street, offers more information about a special segment of the audience who came to final 2012 Ghent concert.

Actually there were three limousines, Mr. Cohen wants his musicians to be treated the same way as him.

I spotted them the night after I attended the concert, when I went back to listen to the concert again from behind the fences in the street.

And I was not alone, hundreds filled the streets to hear his voice, many like me (as I overheard) for a second time.

Also many students who couldn’t afford a ticket, or get one in time.

There were chairs and cushions brought, there was sing-along, waltz-dancing, women were swaying their hips on the music, all looking into the black night. It was a very unusual experience which I enjoyed.

I wonder if this happens in every town…
