Video: Leonard Cohen Rehearses “The Guests” At Sept 11, 2012 Dublin Soundcheck

Neither the visual or audio aspects of thus video is exceptional – hardly a surprise given that the subject of the recording is a closed Leonard Cohen soundcheck.

The exceptional element is the song – “The Guests.” This is another song, as is “Joan Of Arc,” another song performed during this soundcheck, from Cohen’s oeuvre that has long been on a hiatus from public performance.  It appears likely that these rehearsals presage a concert performance, in which case “The Guests” and/or “Joan Of Arc,” would join the other lesser known yet much beloved songs such as “I Can’t Forget,” “Night Comes On,” and “ Light As The Breeze” that have been resurrected to active duty on the 2012 Tour set list.
