The above photo and heading, both posted this morning on Notes From The Road by Joey Carenza will be setting off the usual Pavlovian responses in Cohen fans, friends, followers, and aficionados: anticipatory elation, recurrent, reflexive checking to assure those tickets haven’t dissolved into the ether, and a sense of impending blessings.
It’s also reassuring to anyone flying from, say Durham, North Carolina to Austin to attend the first 2012 US show on Oct 31 to know that Mr Cohen and his musicians have arrived and have practiced a couple of times before the concert.
