While the persistent rumors about Leonard Cohen journeying to new territories, including venues in South Africa, Singapore, and China, in 2013 are intriguing, the geographical coordinates of the Unified Heart Touring Company over the next 365 days represent only one of several aspects of Leonard Cohen’s whithericity worth considering.
What directions, for example will Cohen’s music take? Will his fascination with touring, which has grown since the onset of the 2008-2010 Tour, continue to increase? Is there a chance he will publish another volume of poetry? Will new honors continue to come his way? Will movies be released with his music on the soundtrack, exhibitions with new artwork be opened, … ?
Regardless, it should be fun to watch.
